William Pascoe Goard F.R.G.S (1863 - 1937) was a Methodist minister and prominent British Israelite of the first half of the 20th century. ==Life==
Born in Cornwall, England, but later moved to Canada, in 1912 William Pascoe Goard became minister of the Knox Congregational Church in Vancouver (later renamed Grandview Congregational Church).〔''British Israel: a collection of pamphlets'', Edward A. Hine, William Pascoe Goard, Covenant Pub. Co., 1925, "Biography".〕 He served as a Methodist minister for over 40 years and also was an influential proponent of British Israelism. In 1921 Goard become Vice-President of the British-Israel-World Federation and also became the first editor of ''The National Message'' published by the B.I.W.F when it was founded in 1922, as well as the first director of Covenant Publishing. In 1930 Goard attended a special ceremony at the Chicago–Kent College of Law where he was awarded the degree of "Doctor of Laws and Logic" in recognition of excellent scholarship for his book ''The Law of the Lord: The Common Law'' (1928). Later he became the President of the World Council of the B.I.W.F and was a prolific author on British Israelism.〔(B.I.W.F Historical Background )〕〔() ()〕
